Experienced leadership across commercial real estate development, investment banking, and legal structuring.
Dean Davidov has been active in the real estate business since 2005 and is involved in all roles related to the acquisition, development, and management of commercial real estate. Dean brings an analytical approach and creative development expertise integral to the successful execution of value-add and distressed real estate projects. Through his various affiliates, he has been involved in retail and office properties exceeding five million square feet — spanning ground-up development, repositioning, and change of use.
Prior to founding Duke Real Estate Group, Dean served as Director of Corporate Development at WellPoint, Inc. (now Elevance Health, NYSE: ELV), a publicly traded Fortune 50 corporation. The Corporate Development team was responsible for the evaluation, business and financial analysis, structuring, and negotiation of all mergers & acquisitions, dispositions, new business concepts, joint ventures, and competitive intelligence. During his tenure, Dean completed 32 transactions valued at over $33 billion and evaluated hundreds of additional strategic opportunities. Each transaction was unique in structure, financing, and execution.
Throughout his postgraduate career, Dean has also served as a consultant to numerous business ventures contemplating a capital transaction or joint venture — ranging from early-stage companies seeking to raise capital to multi-million dollar private enterprises pursuing a liquidity event with strategic buyers or equity sources. Earlier in his career, Dean worked in the financial planning group at Walmart and as an associate at Foley & Lardner, an international law firm. He also holds a California real estate broker's license.
